Job Description

Our healthcare client is seeking a HR Assistant to join their team for a 6-month contract opportunity! The ideal candidate will have experience with supporting and facilitating the administrative functions associated with all employee hires, transfers, compensation and title changes. 

This is a fully on-site position in North York, ON, with working hours from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Ensures HRIS contains accurate and up to date information for employees, .
  • Provides standardized confirmation of employment letters to employees as requested.
  • Answer employment verification telephone inquiries in accordance with departmental protocol and organizational privacy policies.
  • Ensure efficient operations of the front desk of the HR Department, and prompt and courteous reception of all visitors (in-person, via telephone, email and fax).
  • Manages the process of Invoices and Purchase requisitions for HR Department.
  • Organizes meetings that can include both internal and external parties on behalf of the Executive Director of Human Resources. This also includes: arranging meeting rooms, teleconferencing, catering etc.
  • Coordinates and provides administrative support to Labour Relations Team.
  • Provides administrative support to members of the HR Department as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 1-3 years of HR experience in a similar position.
  • A minimum of high school diploma. Ideal candidate will have Post-secondary education in a related field such as HR, business, administration, etc. 
  • Proven ability to multi-task, balancing multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills.
