Job Description
Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of an HR Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis until the end of March 2025. This position will be hybrid in Toronto (North York area).
The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating various HR programs, including compensation, benefits, pension, recruitment, and HRIS. This position will actively support recruitment and serve as the primary contact for staff HR inquiries, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations.
Responsibilities
- Administer, develop, and maintain total rewards programs encompassing compensation, pension, and benefits.
- Act as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries, providing support for various HR programs and processes.
- Oversee the complete talent acquisition end-to-end process.
- Conduct pre- and post-onboarding activities for new hires, facilitating onboarding procedures.
- Generate relevant reports from the HRIS for corporate reporting and diverse business needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of various HR projects, policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Manage HR records and general administration, including drafting employment/verification letters, salary/change reports, and maintaining HR records.
Required Experience
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
- Working towards or holding a CHRP/CHRL designation is a bonus.
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience in a human resources role, preferably within a unionized environment or public industry experience.
- Proficiency in working with HRIS/ATS systems
- Experience in corporate recruitment, with expertise in behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective information gathering and advising.
- Knowledge of relevant HR legislation, including ESA, AODA, OHS, Human Rights, etc.
