Job Description
Our client within the Broader Public Sector is seeking a Payroll Coordinator on a 7-month contract opportunity. This is a FULLY REMOTE opportunity. Please note successful candidates must have experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing payroll for a large number of employees, including heavy hiring periods.
- Collaborate with a team of payroll coordinators to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Handle a variety of payroll-related inquiries from employees and internal HR service/support teams.
- Implement manual processes and workarounds, including running reports, importing spreadsheets, and performing manual data corrections.
- Support the busiest time of year (Aug-Oct) with the highest average volume of transactions.
- Provide assistance with expected higher volume of support calls, processing many new manual processes, and dealing with peak transaction periods.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of community college education.
- SAP experience required with experience with Employee Central Payroll
- PCP designation or pursuing PCP certification preferred.
- At least 1 year of payroll experience, with familiarity with the entire annual payroll cycle.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information:
- Working hours are flexible (8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 35 hours/week), dependent on business requirements.
- This is a remote work opportunity
- Occasional requirement to work outside of normal business hours may arise.
- Anticipated start date is as soon as possible, ideally by the start of May.
