Part-Time Accounting Clerk

Altis Recruitment is grateful to have the opportunity to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of 2 Part-Time Accounting Clerks to assist the organization's ongoing finance transformation initiatives. The successful candidates will start ASAP and work 24 hours a week until September of 2024. This position will operate in a predominately remote capacity with occasional on-site requirements in London, Ontario. 

Responsibilities: 

• Address existing vacancies and tackle new challenges arising in finance and operations, ensuring timely compliance with bank requirements.
• Lead data cleansing efforts for an upcoming go-live in October, focusing on balancing general ledger line accounts and making recommendations for optimal financial efficiency.
• Manage blanket purchase orders and facilitate their closure as needed.
• Collaborate on various work streams within finance and operations to bridge existing gaps.

Qualifications:

• Solid experience in finance and operations, with expertise in data cleansing and general ledger management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems, with prior experience in a corporate mainframe environment.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to understand clearing accounts, subledgers, and reconcile items effectively.
• Previous project management experience and familiarity with large ERP systems are advantageous.
• Current enrollment in an intermediate level of the CPA accounting program
