Receptionist
Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of an an occassional Receptionist within a Crown Corporation. This opportunity requires the successful candidate to have availabilty this upcoming Thursday and open availability in the coming weeks to come into their downtown Toronto office. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers and play a crucial role in providing a positive and professional experience. This role involves managing front desk operations, handling inquiries and facilitation communication within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Assist visitors with information, directions, and inquiries.
- Manage and distribute incoming mail, emails, and faxes.
- Relay messages to appropriate personnel promptly and accurately.
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
- Maintain and update contact lists, directories, and other relevant records.
- Handle basic data entry tasks and update information systems.
- Collaborate with security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Coordinate with other administrative staff to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office management or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office suite).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Customer service-oriented with a positive and welcoming demeanor.
