Procurement Coordinator
Our Education client in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join their team for a 3-month contract until April 30, 2024 with potential to extend. This is a hybrid position offering the flexibility of working on campus 2-3x/week and working from home 2-3x/week. Transit accessible or paid parking available.
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the overall procurement activities at assigned faculties/admin units and will work to identify needs and provide advice and education on the correct and consistent usage of appropriate workflow channels and effective business practices to maximize the utilization of procure-to-pay programs and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with assigned Faculty/Admin Unit and procurement partners for successful procurement execution.
- Provides essential assessment and guidance to faculty and staff regarding procurement, including policy and procedure interpretation.
- Resolves issues with end users and suppliers by researching and identifying options, solutions, and action plans.
- Demonstrates the procurement function as a valuable resource for addressing University supply chain challenges.
- Supports consistent sourcing and contracting activities using standard document templates, ensuring adherence to established Supply Management processes.
- Identifies potential sources, collects competitive quotes, and recommends suppliers.
- Ensures compliance of all procurement activities with regulations, laws, and relevant best practices according to University standards.
- Monitors and expedites open purchase orders.
- Performs other related duties as required.
