Property Manager

Altis has partnered with a growing and established Property Management client of ours in the GTA seeking two Property Managers to join their team. Our client is an industry leader in commercial, industrial and retail property management. We are seeking candidates who have comprehensive experience in overseeing large portfolios of a mix commercial and industrial properties. This position in Monday to Friday, is a hybrid 4 days in Office in Mississauga and  one day at home.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Cultivate and sustain working relationships with tenants, staff, and diverse contractors.
• Timely and efficiently address tenant concerns, ensuring effective resolution while upholding a high standard of communication and rapport.
• Offer comprehensive mentorship to staff through clear and effective communication.
• Continuously develop and inspire direct reports, actively engaging in a hands-on approach when necessary.
• Develop, administer, and submit both operating and capital reports.
• Oversee various capital and operating budgets.
• Authorize a range of Purchase Orders and Invoices.
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports covering operations, legal matters, environmental issues, and Responsible Property Investing (RPI) initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, environmental, health & safety policies, and procedures.
• Lead lease compliance efforts, managing Lease Administration responsibilities for the Property Management team.
•  Revise property management policies, procedures, and operations in alignment with the Policy and Procedures Manual.
• Conduct and document annual building inspections, ensuring prompt resolution of identified issues.
• Uphold tenant and client satisfaction by addressing issues efficiently and adapting to evolving circumstances.
• Aid in the implementation of new programs and clarify inquiries regarding various policies and procedures.
• Prioritize environmental concerns, offering insights and solutions to minimize the carbon footprint.
• Collaborate in Team Meetings, Tenant Events, and BOMA initiatives.
• Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Over 2 years of experience as a property manager with direct supervisory responsibilities.
• Possess more than 5 years of comprehensive experience in property management.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Demonstrated track record in successfully overseeing diverse operating and capital budgets.
• Proven organizational skills, ensuring adept and efficient service delivery amidst evolving tenant and client requirements.
• Professional, flexible, and collaborative approach to property management.

Education

• Preference for candidates with an RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation along with post-secondary education
