Job Description

Altis Recruitment is partnering with one of our top financial services clients, a schedule III Bank in downtown Toronto, to hire an experienced Credit Analyst to join their Credit Administration team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial performance, preparing credit applications, and collaborating with various departments to maintain the quality of the bank's credit portfolio.

Our client is currently operating on a hybrid model, requiring 1-2 days a week on-site in downtown Toronto.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the financial performance of borrowers and industry conditions, develop credit applications, ensuring compliance with internal regulations.
  • Investigate and discuss borrower requirements and transactions with deal administrators and account managers.
  • Collaborate with account managers to regularly update Action Plans for customers with low profitability and lower-grade status.
  • Keep a vigilant eye on the financial performance of borrowers, initiating regular reviews.
  • Generate specialized reports on borrowers and industry research upon request.
  • Provide diverse reports on borrowers to department heads and management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Coordinate with other business units for borrowers' financial reports and specific requirements. Collaborate with the Treasury department to prepare applications for inter-bank money lines.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all the Bank's policies, procedures, and Anti-Money Laundering policies.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Business, Commerce, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant corporate banking experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of Loan IQ, Bloomberg, and S&P Capital IQ.
