Accounting Clerk
Altis Recruitment is seeking a Accounts Payable/Accounting Clerk to join our clients team in Brampton! This position is a 6-month contract with a potential extension! The operating hours would be from Monday to Friday from 7am-6pm (shifts will be decided, must be flexible).
Wage: $25/h.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Support with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable practices
-Review carrier statements of account and investigate payment issues.
-Respond to carrier inquiries (invoice submission issues, missing load numbers, rate issues).
-Build and establish relationships with the carriers and various business units.
-Complete voucher adjustments and add post charges to movements in system when necessary.
-Process weekly uploads for any manual invoices approved for payment.
-Identify invalid loads in the Transport system and perform cleanup activity to keep data accurate.
-Work with Transport operators on solving various issues delaying carrier payments.
-Participate in the process improvements initiatives to increase effectiveness within the department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-A minimum of 3 years of previous applicable industry experience, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
-Knowledge of accounts payable procedure's in a computerized environment.
-Ability to analyze processes, develop efficiencies and initiate constructive solutions.
-Must be well organized and detail orientated.
-Ability to prioritize work so all target dates are achieved and to coordinate and control multiple tasks.
-Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and commitments to excellence.
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suiter (especially Excel) and the abilities to learn new systems.
-Experience with SAP would be considered an asset.
