Talent Acquisition Associate - Broader Public Sector
Altis Recruitment is grateful to have the opportunity to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment of a Talent Aquisition Associate. This opportunity will provide comprehensive recruitment support for talent acquisition, including job postings, assessment oversight, pre-employment checks iniation, and new hire documentation management. This is a high-volume staffing support opportunity that is a 1-year contract duration, working in a hybrid capacity within Mississauga.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, 3 days a week in office.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive talent administrative support, including posting roles, proctoring assessments, initiating pre-employment checks, and managing new hire paperwork.
- Provide timely updates to the recruiting team on candidates' progress, ensuring transparent and efficient communication channels.
- Act as the primary contact point for candidates and Hiring Managers, delivering excellent customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, managing processes, setting expectations, and providing information.
- Review and resolve hiring administrative concerns and system issues, ensuring a seamless recruitment process.
- Assist in creating seniority-driven internal candidate summaries and generate eligibility lists upon identifying a unionized candidate.
- Manage day-to-day requirements in the ATS, handling requisition processes, candidate inquiries, and system concerns.
- Administer the ATS ticketing system, reporting issues, troubleshooting, and addressing ongoing technical concerns.
- Support the Talent Acquisition team by conducting entry-level phone interviews and reporting results back to the Recruiter.
- Coordinate and schedule candidates for various selection process activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum two years of experience supporting high-volume recruitment functions.
Minimum one year of experience as an administrator, maintaining expertise with an applicant tracking system. - Demonstrates knowledge of basic recruiting and HR principles.
- Self-directed with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, effectively managing change and ambiguity.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to a high degree of accuracy.
- Clear and succinct communicator (verbal and written) with excellent listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a diverse audience.
Education
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human, Industrial Relations, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Nice-to-Haves
- CHRP designation (obtained or in progress) and RPR (Registered Professional Recruiter) are considered assets.
- Proficient in navigating Oracle software.
