Job Description
Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with an organization within the Broader Public Sector to support the recruitment for a 1-year contract opportunity as a Vendor Governance Specialist. This role will be working in a remote capacity and seeking professionals across Canada who are able to work from 8am - 5pm pacific time. The successful candidate for this opportunity will be setting up a new vendor management program internally and work a 37.5 hour work week.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in vendor engagement and lifecycle oversight encompassing sourcing, negotiating contracts, onboarding vendors, managing relationships, administering contracts, closing agreements, and offboarding vendors.
- Accomplished in implementing new programs and overseeing change by developing policy documentation, creating procedural guidelines, mapping processes, and crafting informative and educational materials.
- Possesses robust business acumen with a keen focus on delivering results.
- Collaborate with support departments, business clientele, and vendors, which involves presenting educational materials about the vendor governance program.
- Offer guidance and implement industry standards and optimal practices.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of vendor governance standards, processes and integration
- Vendor performance management experience including vendor segmentation, KPI development and performance improvement reports
- Expertise in managing third-party risks, involving evaluating inherent risks, categorizing vendors, conducting due diligence, identifying risks across various domains
- Broader public sector experience is considered an asset
- Working experience with Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Visio.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project-based environment
- Expereince with SAP 4Hana and Ivalua Supplier Management module is an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of Lean, 6 Sigma and agile methodologies
