Job Description

Altis Recruitment is grateful to partner with our client within the Broader Public Sector space to support the recruitment for a Procurement Consultant. This opportunity will require 15+ of work per week for project work opportunities throughout 2024. This role may have project needs 5+ times per year that require a Procurement contractor in place. This opportunity may have a requirement to be on site within their Vancouver office. The successful candidate for this position will have 10+ years’ experience with competitive procurement projects and will have experience with procurement processes such as Requests for Qualifications, Tenders, Invitations to Quote and Requests for Proposals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage competitive procurement projects on an as needed basis
  • Professionals will serve as consultants to clients, offering guidance and support to help clients choose the most suitable supplier for their particular needs, all while complying with Canadian procurement and contract regulations
  • Particular projects might encompass Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Invitations to Qualify (ITQs), Requests for Supplier Arrangements (RSAs), or Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and could also involve investigative instruments like, but not restricted to, Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Expressions of Interest (RFEIs).
  • The position will involve procurement planning to assist with the development of a business case providing terms of reference documentation for the client approval
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for vendor relationship management, responding to vendor enquiries, evaluate submissions, award successful vendors and provide and assist with post-contract evaluation reporting.  

Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years managing competitive procurement projects
  • Led several RFP projects that have shortlisting processes such as interviews, demonstrations and results in 3 years with successful signed contracts
  • Experience evaluating proposals on several projects
  • Experience within the transportation space considered an asset
  • Experience with the BC Bid website is an asset
