Total Rewards and HRIS Specialist
Our client located in Toronto within the Broader Public Sector is seeking a Total Rewards and HRIS Specialist to join their team on a 6 month contract duration. This position will report directly into the Senior Manager of Talent Management and Total Rewards and will work in a hybrid capacity with 2 - 3 days a week on-site. All members of the team are in-office on Wednesdays of each week and the successful candidate will be able to decide the other 1 - 2 days they would like to come in-office. The core hours of work are 9am - 5pm but they are open to those coming in from 8am - 4pm.
This role has the responsibility of delivering specialized expertise in leadership in Worday with a focus on union negotiations and the integration of detailed compensation data, including retroactive payments. This role will play a vital part in aligning Workday funtionalities with the specific requirements of union negotiations and compensation-related details, ensuring a seamless implementation process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer subject matter expertise in Workday to facilitate the development, enhancement and change management initiatives related to union negotations, compensation and retroactive payment processing. This will also include performance management, core compensation, benefits as well as recruitment.
- Service as the primary HRIS Functional specialist, offer recommendations, document changes and design and implement solutions to ensure seamless user adoption
- Work with HRBPs and payroll to enhance service delivery
- Work collaboratively with IT specialists to support the development of new functionalities. This includes participating in functional and regression testing for system fixes, upgrades, patches, including bi-annual Workday releases and new features.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business, and certification from an accredited Human Resources program
- 3+ years of experience in HRIS with a strong grasp of Workday's domains
- Proficient in HR operations and skilled in managing employee data
- Experience working with unionized staff is an asset
