Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join a finance team. As a Senior Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our residential property portfolios and overseeing the full accounting cycle for all real estate investments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Residential Portfolio Management: Manage financial aspects of residential properties, including rent collections, expense tracking, and financial reporting.

• Full-Cycle Accounting: Oversee the entire accounting process, from accounts payable and receivable to financial statement preparation and analysis.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with team members to create and manage property budgets and forecasts.

• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning strategies.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in property accounting.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably with residential portfolios.

• Strong knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi) and MS Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Nice-to-Haves

• CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it is preferred.
