Project Director - ICI

Our client is seeking an a Project lead to manage ICI construction projects in Ottawa. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring projects stay on track. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of ICI construction management experience.

We are seeking someone who has previously worked for a General Contractor who wants to be involved in setting the strategy, executing the plan and dealing with problems before they hit the ground.  This person will not be on site daily managing projects but instead, they will be the one managing the team on site and reporting back to ownership on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in project analysis, design, and cost estimation
• Work with project teams to meet client requirements and industry best practices
• Conduct technical reviews and verification checks
• Lead the design phase and ensure adherence to organizational standards
• Manage projects under construction, ensuring quality and budget compliance
• Provide clear project status reporting and communication
• Monitor project finances and adjust activities for profitability
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders
• Other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years' experience in commercial/industrial construction management
• Understanding of construction processes and best practices
• Ability to lead project teams collaboratively
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
• Valid Ontario Driver's license
• College diploma or university degree in a construction-related field
• Training in Occupational Health and Safety at the supervisory level
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and construction building plans
• Building envelope and rain-screen experience an asset
