Job Description

Altis Recruitment is currently supporting a Construction Management firm in Ottawa with recruiting for a Project Coordinator! This exciting role is a PERMANENT, FULL TIME opportunity within Ottawa. Location: Ottawa, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30A to 5:00P

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination and management of construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
  • Track project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prepare and distribute project-related documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project activities, identify safety concerns, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Support procurement processes, including vendor selection and purchase order management.
  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices in project coordination.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience OR education within Project Management or as a Project Administrator / Coordinator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in project documentation and data management.
  • Proficiency in using project management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive and travel within Ottawa for site visits as required.
  • Availability for full-time hours and willingness to occasionally work outside regular office hours.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations is an asset.
