ATIP Consultant

Our government client requires a Senior ATIP consultant to support processing a backlog of access to information and privacy requests. 

Scope of work:

• Process sensitive and complex ATIP request, including applying exemptions and
  exclusions contained in ATIP legislation
• Preparing correspondence and consulting, both internally and externally (other
  government departments and third parties)
• Processing extensions, when required
• Identifying Cabinet confidences and preparing schedules of possible Cabinet
  confidences for legal review
• Conducting research where required including reading background documents on
  the nature and content of files
• Making recommendations
• Handling of complaints by the OIC or OPC if required
• Preparation of release package in APCM and finalizing release packages to the
  requestor

Qualifications and experience: 

• Must have 10 years experience applying the federal access to information and privacy act
• Secret Clearance
• Bilingual
