About the Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented Financial Analyst who enjoys working closely with operations and making an impact beyond the numbers? An established manufacturing organization in Mississauga is looking for a collaborative finance professional to support financial reporting, payroll, budgeting, and day-to-day accounting operations.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll play an important role in maintaining financial accuracy, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting informed business decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys being connected to the business.

What's In It for You
• Opportunity to transition to a hybrid work arrangement after the first three months.
• Work alongside experienced finance leaders in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
• Gain exposure to manufacturing operations, financial reporting, and process improvement.
• Join an established organization that values teamwork, innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• You'll manage weekly and monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and support cost and inventory reporting.
• You'll support month-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• You'll analyze fixed expenses, prepare accruals, and contribute to budgeting and financial planning activities.
• You'll coordinate weekly plant payroll processing, ensuring accurate recording of payroll expenses, disbursements, and accruals.
• You'll collaborate with finance, payroll, and operations teams through regular management meetings and variance reviews.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or relevant PCP coursework.
• Strong experience working with ERP and payroll systems.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate financial discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative, proactive approach.

Note from the Hiring Manager
"We're looking for someone who enjoys getting into the details, understands how finance connects to day-to-day operations, and isn't afraid to ask questions or suggest improvements. Someone who takes ownership of their work and enjoys collaborating with different teams will do really well here."
