About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a dependable, physically capable, and detail-oriented Records Centre Specialist to support the secure storage, retrieval, and movement of records and other stored materials. Working in a fast-paced records management environment, you’ll help ensure incoming and outgoing orders are processed accurately and that materials are handled, tracked, and stored efficiently.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys active work, follows safety procedures, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and productive workspace. You’ll use inventory systems and scanning technology alongside physical material-handling equipment to support daily operations.
You’ll process incoming and outgoing orders by locating, retrieving, sorting, labeling, and organizing boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other stored materials.
You’ll regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and arrange boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, independently where required, using safe handling techniques and approved equipment.
You’ll operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, handheld scanners, ladders, and other material-handling equipment in accordance with established safety procedures.
You’ll load and unload boxes, prepare and shrink-wrap pallets, and assist with moving materials onto carts and trucks.
You’ll use proprietary computer systems to locate inventory, track orders, update records, and ensure materials are processed accurately.
You’ll maintain a safe and organized work area while completing physical tasks that involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and working across varied surfaces.
Previous experience in warehousing, records management, shipping and receiving, inventory, or material handling is an asset.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying heavy boxes independently as required by the role.
Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching for extended periods, including climbing and balancing on ladders.
Ability to safely operate or learn to use hand trucks, pallet jacks, handheld scanners, and inventory tracking systems.
Ability to read and write English, follow instructions, interpret labels, and maintain accurate records.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, teamwork, and commitment to workplace health and safety.
On-site, five days per week, with a nine-hour daily schedule including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Physically demanding work involving frequent lifting, carrying, and movement of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work may involve stairs, inclines, uneven surfaces, concrete flooring, and repetitive movements.
If you’ve never worked with a staffing agency before, don’t worry, we make it easy. You’ll still engage directly with the client while we handle the logistics, provide guidance, and keep you informed every step of the way. We’ll represent your strengths, guide you through each stage of the process, and ensure the experience feels personal and transparent.
