About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced IT Vendor Management professional who knows how to challenge vendor proposals, negotiate stronger agreements and drive meaningful cost savings? We're looking for a commercially savvy Vendor Lead to join a large organization in the healthcare sector, helping strengthen accountability across its enterprise technology supplier network.
In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with IT leadership, Procurement, Legal and strategic technology partners to improve service delivery, optimize spending and build a more proactive vendor governance function.
What's In It for You
• A high-impact opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology vendor strategy and performance.
• Exposure to senior leadership and complex, large-scale IT contracts.
• A collaborative environment that values sound judgment, initiative and continuous improvement.
• Potential to transition into a permanent position with competitive compensation.
Your Responsibilities
• You'll manage strategic IT vendors and managed services providers (MSPs), ensuring contractual commitments and service expectations are met.
• You'll negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing structures, contract changes and commercial terms, challenging unnecessary costs and scope.
• You'll audit vendor invoices, rate cards and resource models to identify savings opportunities and financial risks.
• You'll lead vendor governance meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and performance improvement initiatives.
• You'll evaluate technical proposals, staffing models and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with business needs.
• You'll partner with senior stakeholders to resolve escalations, strengthen governance processes and improve operational outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in IT vendor management, commercial management, procurement, contract management or service delivery.
• At least 3 years managing IT vendor governance or multi-vendor professional services agreements in a large, complex, regulated environment.
• Proven experience negotiating SOWs, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), pricing models, acceptance criteria and contractual risk provisions.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including invoice auditing, cost optimization and fixed-price versus time-and-materials (T&M) evaluations.
• Working knowledge of IT service delivery lifecycles, infrastructure, cloud services, application management, end-user computing and cybersecurity.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and executive communication skills, with experience collaborating across Procurement, Legal and IT leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a collaborative, analytical and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
