An established organization in the transportation and logistics sector is seeking a Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer to support a major application modernization initiative.

In this role, you'll help transform critical appointment management and operational workflows through modern backend services, APIs, and integrations. You'll collaborate with talented technical teams across multiple workstreams, delivering reliable solutions that support high-volume business operations.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll design and develop scalable Java / Spring Boot services, RESTful APIs, and microservices supporting enterprise appointment management workflows.
• You'll build backend functionality for booking, reservation validation, terminal selection, scheduling, and transaction processing.
• You'll integrate internal and external enterprise systems while implementing business rules, security controls, exception handling, and data-access components.
• You'll develop automated unit and integration tests, troubleshoot defects, and support system testing and deployment readiness.
• You'll collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and integration teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• You'll contribute to code reviews, Agile ceremonies, technical documentation, CI/CD processes, and knowledge transfer.

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of Java application development experience, including strong hands-on expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, dependency injection, and enterprise modernization.
• Proven experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, JSON payloads, validation logic, error handling, and internal/external system integrations.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills, including database queries, data-access services, and high-volume transactional workflows.
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing, Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, enterprise API security patterns, and established coding standards.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, cloud-based delivery environments, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, booking, reservations, or appointment management, with strong collaboration skills across distributed teams.
