We're looking for a Marketing & Communications Officer to join a mission-driven non-profit organization where your creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail will make a meaningful impact.
Working closely with the Senior Manager of Communications & Operations, you'll play a hands-on role in strengthening the organization's brand, creating compelling digital content, and supporting communications that connect with employees, donors, and community stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and thrives in a small, collaborative team.
What's In It for You
• A 35-hour workweek with flexibility and a hybrid schedule after onboarding.
• The opportunity to shape and strengthen an evolving brand through creative storytelling and design.
• A supportive, close-knit team where your ideas and contributions are valued.
• Meaningful work supporting a purpose-driven organization and its community.
Your Responsibilities
• You'll create engaging content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, newsletters, and other digital channels.
• You'll design and update branded materials, presentations, reports, and marketing collateral using Canva and Adobe InDesign.
• You'll maintain website content, email communications, and digital platforms, ensuring brand consistency and accessibility.
• You'll support fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications through compelling written and visual content.
• You'll coordinate communications projects, timelines, approvals, and deliverables across departments.
• You'll contribute to organizational updates, leadership presentations, and change management communications.
Skills and Qualifications
• 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field, ideally within a non-profit environment.
• Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. • Strong graphic design capabilities, including proficiency with Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience creating social media content, newsletters, website updates, and email campaigns.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and visual storytelling skills, with an understanding of branding and accessible communications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines independently.
• A collaborative, adaptable approach and enthusiasm for working in a small, hands-on team.
