About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Service Designer to help shape and improve end-to-end experiences for a new digital product launching in 2027. This is an opportunity to take complex services and make them work better for the people who use and deliver them.

Working within the user experience practice of a Canadian health information organization, you’ll collaborate with users, employees, subject matter experts and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll bring together human-centered design, service design and systems thinking to turn research and evidence into practical improvements across people, processes, technology and operations.

What’s In It for You
You’ll have the opportunity to influence a high-impact digital product while independently leading complex service design initiatives. You’ll work alongside diverse stakeholders, facilitate meaningful collaboration and apply your expertise across the full service design lifecycle, from discovery through implementation.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead end-to-end service design initiatives, including discovery, research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, ideation and prototyping.
• You’ll conduct and synthesize qualitative and mixed-method research to uncover user needs, pain points and opportunities.
• You’ll analyze current-state services and workflows and design improved future-state experiences.
• You’ll facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with users, employees, leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
• You’ll prototype and evaluate concepts across digital and non-digital touchpoints.
• You’ll translate service design insights into actionable product, process, technology and operational recommendations.
• You’ll communicate complex findings through compelling stories, visualizations and recommendations.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional experience in service design, experience design, UX, human-centered design or a related discipline, including independently leading complex initiatives.
• Strong expertise in human-centered design, service design and systems thinking.
• Hands-on experience with journey mapping, service blueprinting, co-design, prototyping and qualitative or mixed-method research.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, analytical and storytelling skills.
• Ability to independently scope and lead work in complex and ambiguous environments.
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Portfolio or presentation demonstrating previous service design thinking, methods and outcomes is required. Healthcare, government, regulated environments, Agile or Lean experience are considered assets.
