About the Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented compliance professional who enjoys investigating financial crime, interpreting regulations, and helping protect the integrity of financial services? This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative compliance team within a Canadian financial institution, where your expertise will contribute to a strong Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF) program.

In this role, you'll work closely with internal teams, frontline employees, regulators, and external service providers to identify risks, strengthen compliance practices, and support a culture of accountability. You'll have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills while contributing to meaningful improvements in financial crime prevention.

What's In It for You
• A collaborative, people-focused environment that values integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Opportunities to expand your expertise in AML/ATF regulations, financial crime investigations, and regulatory compliance.
• Exposure to cross-functional projects, regulatory examinations, and compliance technology enhancements.
• A role where your attention to detail and sound judgment make a meaningful impact.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll investigate AML/ATF transaction monitoring alerts, conduct financial crime investigations, and complete enhanced due diligence (EDD) and periodic high-risk reviews.
• You'll prepare and submit regulatory reports, including LCTR, EFTR, STR, TPR, and SOTR, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FINTRAC requirements.
• You'll assess risks associated with international wire transfers, high-risk jurisdictions, and suspicious activity.
• You'll collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to maintain accurate Know Your Customer (KYC) records and support regulatory obligations.
• You'll use Navaera, adverse media screening tools, and related compliance systems to investigate, document, and communicate findings.
• You'll monitor legislative developments, including PCMLTFA requirements, and help translate regulatory changes into effective compliance practices.
• You'll support employee AML training, regulatory examinations, external audits, and system testing, enhancements, and implementation projects.

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in financial services, with exposure to AML/ATF and regulatory compliance.
• A university degree or college diploma in a related field. CAMS certification, AML/ATF coursework, or additional industry experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of financial crime investigations, EDD, KYC, transaction monitoring, and AML/ATF regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with PCMLTFA, FINTRAC requirements, money laundering typologies, and emerging regulatory developments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and the ability to learn specialized compliance platforms, including Navaera and adverse media tools.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, written communication, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong judgment, integrity, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage confidential information, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
