AI Subject Matter Expert

We’re currently connecting with experienced professionals who are strong critical thinkers and problem solvers, and who are comfortable working with, testing, and challenging AI systems. This opportunity is particularly well suited to independent contractors who enjoy digging into complex problems, questioning outputs, spotting errors or gaps in reasoning, and determining how an AI response could be improved.

About the opportunity

As an AI Subject Matter Expert, you’ll use your professional expertise and judgment to test and evaluate AI-generated responses. Rather than simply reviewing whether an answer is right or wrong, you may be asked to challenge the AI’s reasoning, research complex questions, identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies, compare different outputs, and provide thoughtful feedback that helps improve the model.

• Independent contractor opportunity
• Fully remote
• Flexible, self-managed schedule
• Approximately 10–40 hours per week, depending on project availability
• Projects and workloads may vary over time
• Compensation varies by project and required expertise, with many projects paying approximately $60–$75 USD/hour and highly specialized projects potentially paying more
• Work must be completed independently and without external AI tools unless specifically permitted by the project

• Are comfortable working independently in a flexible contractor environment

Candidates who move forward will be required to complete an assessment designed to evaluate critical thinking, research, reasoning, and written communication.
