We are recruiting for a Yard Dispatcher for leading Canadian retailer to support a busy distribution environment where efficiency, safety, and teamwork are at the heart of every shift. In this role, you will play a critical part in coordinating trailer movements, maintaining yard operations, and ensuring goods flow seamlessly throughout the facility.

Your Responsibilities
• You'll coordinate trailer movements, dispatch shunt drivers, and assign trailers to loading and unloading doors based on operational priorities.
• You'll maintain accurate trailer and container records within the Yard Management System while monitoring yard inventory and equipment availability.
• You'll oversee safe yard operations by monitoring traffic flow, container placement, GPS tracking, dash camera footage, and operational performance.
• You'll communicate schedule updates, delays, maintenance requirements, and operational priorities with warehouse teams, drivers, security, and logistics partners using Microsoft Teams and other communication tools.
• You'll troubleshoot yard congestion, equipment availability, and scheduling challenges while preparing operational reports and maintaining driver logs and timesheets.
• You'll ensure all yard activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and reporting requirements.

Skills and Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or distribution centre operations.
• Proficiency in Yard Management Systems (YMS) is required.
• Experience working with Power BI, P44, RFID technology is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education or logistics-related certifications are considered an asset.
