Location: Brampton, ON (Fully On-site)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (35 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $28.73/hour
Duration: Contract through December 31, 2026, with potential for extension
Background Check Requirement: Criminal Record Check required
Start Date: As early as Monday September 28th.
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join their Human Resources team in a front-facing administrative role. Working within a collaborative HR team, you'll serve as one of the first points of contact for employees while supporting a variety of day-to-day HR operations. Your Responsibilities
- You'll serve as a first point of contact for employees by responding to HR-related phone calls, emails, and general inquiries with professionalism and excellent customer service
- You'll support the HR team with a variety of administrative tasks, including preparing correspondence, employment letters, and employee documentation
- You'll assist with employment verification requests and other employee-related administrative processes
- You'll coordinate employee orientations and support onboarding activities
- You'll prepare employee packages and documentation for pickup or distribution
- You'll maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR files remain organized and up to date
- You'll assist with printing, scanning, filing, mailing, and other departmental administrative activities
- You'll support HR projects and operational initiatives while ensuring confidentiality at all times
- You'll help maintain smooth day-to-day HR operations by providing reliable administrative support across the department
Skills and Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources, HR administration, or a related administrative support role
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Experience working with an HRIS is required; Oracle HCM Cloud experience is considered an asset
- Strong administrative and high-volume data entry experience with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence interacting with employees at all levels
- Professional, approachable, and able to remain firm and confident when responding to employee questions or requests
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
- Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and grow within Human Resources
