Your Responsibilities

• You'll lead the development and continuous improvement of health, safety, wellness, and DEI programs that support a healthy workplace culture.
• You'll oversee WSIB claims management, return-to-work programs, and absence management while ensuring legislative compliance.
• You'll collaborate with leaders across the organization to provide guidance on occupational health and safety, workplace wellness, and employee well-being.
• You'll manage the Joint Health and Safety Committee, workplace investigations, audits, reporting, and accreditation activities.
• You'll analyze organizational trends and develop recommendations that strengthen health, safety, and wellness outcomes.
• You'll coach and mentor team members while fostering collaboration and accountability across the HR function.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience focused on health and safety, workplace wellness, and DEI, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety legislation, WSIB case management, and return-to-work programs.
• Experience working with HRIS systems, Microsoft 365, and reporting tools to analyze trends and support decision-making.
• Proven ability to build relationships and influence leaders across multiple departments.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience within a non-profit, healthcare, or unionized environment is considered an asset.
