Software Developer (C++/Real-Time Systems)

We are seeking a Software Developer (C++/Real-Time Systems) for our software development client, a company with over 30 years of expertise in research and innovation, specializing in the application of advanced hardware and software technologies.

 

• Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 annually, with a variable bonus.
• Office location: Gatineau, QC (50% on-site, free parking).
• Benefits: Health benefits with 100% coverage, 3 weeks vacation, Christmas shutdown.
• Work environment: Remote work allowed or from the office in Gatineau, Canada.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions for real-time systems and analytics.
• Architect highly available, scalable real-time data repositories.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle activities based on AGILE principles: design, code, unit test, debug, integrate, and document.
• Attend meetings, report progress, and take technical leadership and ownership of assigned work.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

• Education: University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in the development of real-time systems.
• Technical Skills: Strong C++ programming experience is required.
• Experience with Socket programming, VoIP, SIP Protocol, and telephony is a nice-to-have.
• Experience with IBM RSARTE is a nice-to-have.
• Soft Skills: Independent, positive work ethic, team player, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Languages: English or French (bilingualism is an asset).
