Senior Financial Planning Analyst, Capital Accounting and Planning

Location: Toronto, ON, Hybrid, 3 days onsite
Compensation: $90,000 to $110,000 annually, based on experience
Language: Strong written and spoken English required. French or another language is an asset.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a permanent Senior Financial Planning Analyst to help guide capital projects from planning through financial reporting. Your work will give leaders a clear view of project costs, funding, and risks so they can make informed decisions.

You’ll join a collaborative finance team and work closely with capital planning colleagues, program leaders, and other stakeholders. This is an opportunity to pair hands-on accounting with meaningful planning and analysis in an organization that serves its community.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll monitor capital budgets, project spending, and variances, helping stakeholders understand financial performance and emerging risks.
• You’ll set up and maintain projects in the ERP system and prepare project accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports.
• You’ll support month-end and year-end close, balance sheet accounting, and internal and external audits.
• You’ll partner with the capital planning team on the annual capital plan, depreciation budgets, and funding-related reporting.
• You’ll contribute to cash flow forecasts, financial analysis, and improvements to processes and internal controls.

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of related finance or accounting experience, including project accounting or capital planning.
• A university degree in a related field and a CPA designation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience building financial models; MS Access experience is an asset.
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting controls.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships across teams.
• Healthcare sector experience, Ministry reporting knowledge, or Oracle ERP experience is an asset.
