In this leadership role, you'll oversee the daily operations of a busy warehouse while balancing people leadership, process improvement, and customer satisfaction. Your Responsibilities
• You'll lead the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and service standards are consistently achieved.
• You'll oversee workforce planning, labour scheduling, equipment, and operational resources to maximize efficiency and performance.
• You'll coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and warehouse employees, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• You'll monitor KPIs, customer requirements, and operational performance, implementing process improvements where opportunities exist.
• You'll ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, quality standards, company policies, and customer requirements.
• You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders to support inventory accuracy, distribution planning, and overall operational success.
• You'll manage budgets, productivity targets, and operational reporting while supporting business growth initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive experience in a contract logistics, 3PL, distribution centre, or warehouse environment, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, continuous improvement, and distribution best practices.
• Experience working with WMS, warehouse automation, RF technology, Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel, and operational reporting tools.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, quality management systems (ISO), and warehouse equipment. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPS methodologies is considered an asset.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build engaged, high-performing teams.
