About the Opportunity

Our client in the public sector is seeking a Law Clerk to provide real estate and administrative support to its Infrastructure, Development and Real Estate legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working with agreements, transactions, and property-related documentation.

Reporting to senior legal counsel, you’ll support the coordination and management of real estate transactions while working closely with internal stakeholders and legal professionals. Your ability to stay organized, research legislation, and manage documentation accurately will be an important part of the team’s success.

Your Responsibilities

  • You’ll help coordinate the preparation, execution, and management of agreements, reports, real estate transactions, and related legal documentation.
  • In this role, you’ll use Teraview to support real estate transactions and related registration activities.
  • You’ll conduct research and apply relevant provincial statutes and municipal by-laws to support the activities of the legal team.
  • You’ll manage legal files, correspondence, and general office administration while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
  • You’ll provide additional legal and administrative support to Senior Legal Counsel and the broader Infrastructure, Development and Real Estate team as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Law Clerk accreditation program, along with a secondary school diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience in a law office, municipal government, or related legal environment, preferably supporting real estate matters.
  • Strong working knowledge of Teraview and Microsoft Office, with familiarity with reference plans.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and apply provincial statutes, municipal by-laws, and policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
