Application Solutions Developer

Location: Winnipeg, MB, Remote or hybrid, with onsite work available at a Winnipeg office location

Duration: 1+ year contract, 7 hours per day, typically 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

About the Opportunity
A large public sector organization is seeking an experienced Application Solutions Consultant to support the design and delivery of complex, enterprise-scale applications. This is an opportunity to bring your full stack development expertise to meaningful projects that support important services and long-term technology modernization.

Working under the direction of a Project Leader, you’ll collaborate closely with solution designers, developers, and other technical stakeholders throughout the full software development lifecycle. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid arrangement while contributing to a team focused on quality, reliability, and thoughtful solution design.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll develop detailed work plans for SDLC activities, helping ensure deliverables are completed within established timelines and budgets.
• You’ll participate across the full software engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, unit testing, integration, and system testing.
• You’ll collaborate with solution designers and developers to ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and functional requirements.
• You’ll build and enhance complex full stack applications involving APIs and data integrations.
• You’ll participate in code reviews to strengthen quality, maintainability, and compliance with development standards.

Skills and Qualifications
• 8+ years of senior full stack software development experience, including extensive hands-on experience with React, MUI, and Node.js.
• Strong experience building large applications with complex API and data integrations.
• 7+ years of experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Demonstrated experience using Kafka within complex application environments.
• Strong UI/UX and front-end development skills, including component architecture, responsive interfaces, and translating design specifications into polished solutions.
• Solid programming, prototyping, debugging, organizational, and time management skills, with Ruby on Rails and Go considered assets.
