About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Bilingual Receptionist to join a professional, collaborative non-profit organization in downtown Ottawa. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while keeping day-to-day office activities running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants variety beyond a traditional reception desk. You’ll interact with senior leaders, employees, candidates and external visitors while providing administrative support to teams across the organization.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll welcome visitors and interview candidates in both English and French, ensuring a professional and positive first impression.
• You’ll answer the main telephone line and provide backup phone coverage when required.
• You’ll coordinate incoming and outgoing couriers, packages and office deliveries.
• You’ll support meeting and interview preparation, including catering, name tags, materials and other logistics.
• You’ll assist multiple teams with data entry, database validation, record updates and general administrative support.
• You’ll provide backup support to Executive Assistants and help with additional office priorities as needs evolve.
Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative, reception or office support experience required.
• Professional fluency in both English and French, including confident written and verbal communication.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional, welcoming and helpful approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Comfort working with spreadsheets, data entry, database updates, sorting and basic calculations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to shift between competing priorities.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
