About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help shape accessible, intuitive digital products and public services within a large public-sector environment. You’ll bring research, design thinking, and hands-on UX/UI expertise together to improve priority user journeys and create experiences that respond to real user needs.

Working alongside researchers, content and accessibility specialists, developers, product leads, and business stakeholders, you’ll turn evidence into practical, implementation-ready solutions. This is an opportunity to influence complex, high-impact services while championing inclusive, user-centred design.

What’s In It for You
You’ll work on meaningful digital services with broad public impact while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that values evidence-based design. The role offers exposure to complex service-design challenges, accessibility standards, design-system evolution, and opportunities to share your expertise through coaching and knowledge transfer.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll lead discovery, user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and synthesis to identify user needs and prioritized recommendations.
• You’ll create user journeys, task flows, service blueprints, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive high-fidelity designs.
• You’ll design accessible web and mobile experiences aligned with AODA and applicable WCAG requirements.
• You’ll contribute reusable components, patterns, variants, tokens, and guidance to an established design system.
• You’ll facilitate workshops, design critiques, playback sessions, and stakeholder decision-making activities.
• You’ll prepare developer-ready Figma specifications, assets, behaviours, responsive guidance, and acceptance criteria.
• You’ll support implementation reviews, design-quality assurance, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional UX, UI, interaction, product, or service design experience, including senior responsibility for complex digital products or services.
• Extensive experience with discovery, user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, evidence synthesis, and evidence-based design recommendations.
• Advanced Figma proficiency, including components, variants, libraries, prototyping, file organization, documentation, and developer handoff.
• Strong experience with responsive web and mobile design, information architecture, journeys, task flows, service blueprints, wireframes, prototypes, forms, navigation, search, validation, and interaction states.
• Demonstrated experience applying AODA, WCAG, accessibility, and inclusive-design practices.
• Experience contributing to design systems, including reusable components, patterns, tokens, interaction and content guidance, and governance.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Public-sector experience is preferred, and a portfolio with at least three relevant case studies is required.
