About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support the day-to-day delivery of a major transit infrastructure project. This is a hands-on site-based opportunity where you’ll help keep construction activities organized, documented and moving forward while working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and municipal stakeholders.
You’ll play an important role in coordinating schedules, permits, documentation, safety requirements and site activities. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the work, solving problems as they arise and contributing to complex infrastructure projects that make an impact in the community.
What’s In It for You
You’ll gain valuable exposure to a large-scale transit infrastructure project while collaborating with experienced construction and engineering professionals. This is an opportunity to strengthen your technical and project coordination expertise while working in a fast-paced environment that values safety, teamwork and accountability.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll prepare daily project reports covering labour, equipment, progress and site documentation.
• You’ll onboard subcontractors, coordinate safety documentation, site meetings and mobilization, and track daily progress.
• You’ll manage permits, licences, approvals and agreements, including applications and coordination with municipal stakeholders.
• You’ll track extra work, prepare time and material summaries, verify invoices and support change-order documentation.
• You’ll support schedule updates, develop site work plans and maintain accurate progress and completion information.
• You’ll coordinate utility and rail locates, site orientations, meeting agendas, minutes and crew timecards.
• You’ll deliver daily safety briefings and help resolve site issues or conflicts as they arise.
Skills and Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Construction Project Coordinator or in a similar construction-focused role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.
• Experience supporting major transit or complex infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong coordination, documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Ontario “G” Driver’s Licence.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including night shifts, as project needs require.
