IT Business Analyst – Service Operating Model (SOM) Application Operations & Governance
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
Pay Rate: $55–60/hour

About the Opportunity
A large healthcare organization is seeking an IT Business Analyst – SOM Application & Governance to support an internally developed Service Operating Model (SOM) application that enables enterprise technology governance and service management processes.
This is a hands-on operational role where you'll help keep a critical enterprise application running smoothly by coordinating change requests, maintaining high-quality data, monitoring workflows, supporting business users and partnering with technology teams. You'll also work closely with Service Area leaders, Service Category Managers and other business stakeholders to ensure operational processes remain accurate, efficient and well governed.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for the internally developed Service Operating Model (SOM) application.
- Coordinate change requests from intake through review, approval, implementation and closure.
- Validate business information, ownership, service data and supporting documentation before changes are implemented.
- Monitor workflows, downstream updates and system exceptions, coordinating issue resolution across business and technology teams.
- Maintain data quality by identifying incomplete, duplicate or inconsistent information and driving corrective action with accountable stakeholders.
- Track request status, approvals, dependencies, aging and operational metrics while providing reporting to business leaders.
- Create and maintain business requirements, process documentation, business rules, procedures and governance documentation.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release validation and continuous process improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst or Application Support Analyst within a large enterprise.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications through operational workflows, change requests, issue resolution and production support.
- Strong experience documenting business requirements, workflows, business rules, process documentation and operational procedures.
- Experience working with governance processes, approvals, data quality and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
- Experience supporting UAT, implementation activities and release readiness.
- Familiarity with enterprise workflow or system-of-record platforms such as ServiceNow, LeanIX, Planview, Workday or similar. Direct experience with these platforms is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business leaders, service owners and technical teams.
- Experience within IT service management, enterprise application support or operational governance is considered an asset.
