About the Opportunity
We’re recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk for our clients organization where strong financial operations help support important work across the organization. This 6-month contract is a great opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys keeping processes moving and ensuring financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across finance and the broader organization, helping process invoices, reconcile accounts and respond to payment-related inquiries. Your ability to balance accuracy, deadlines and responsive service will make you a valued member of the team.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll process accounts payable transactions and invoices accurately and within established timelines.
• You’ll review supporting documentation, coding and approvals to ensure transactions meet internal requirements.
• You’ll reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies, following through to resolution.
• You’ll respond to payment and invoice inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors.
• You’ll maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• You’ll support the finance team with additional accounts payable and financial administration activities as required.
Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of accounts payable, finance administration or related transactional accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience processing invoices, reconciling accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial or ERP systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
• Government of Canada or Crown corporation experience is an asset.
• Valid Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain it, including Canadian citizenship or permanent residency with 10 years of verifiable history.
