Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Schedule: Part-Time Contract Position, 21 hours per week
Work Arrangement: 1 day per week in office following onboarding period. First 3 months require in-office attendance Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Organization is also open to considering candidates who would prefer to work 5 days a week, working 4 hours a day between 8:45am - 4:45pm.

About the Opportunity
Our client in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join their Human Resources team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of payroll, benefits, pension programs, and employee attendance tracking while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality across all payroll and benefits processes.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while serving as a key liaison between employees, benefit providers, payroll systems, and internal stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities
- Administer semi-monthly payroll processing, including audits, reconciliations, government remittances, year-end activities, and payroll reporting.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries, process salary increases, bonuses, commissions, garnishments, and maintain accurate payroll records for audit purposes.
- Ensure year-end payroll processes and remittances are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor employee attendance and support attendance analysis and vacation accrual preparation.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrolments, terminations, reconciliations, remittances, and employee inquiries.
- Act as the primary liaison between employees, benefit providers, and the organization regarding benefits administration.
- Manage administration of the company Group RRSP program and coordinate with Accounting to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while supporting additional HR projects and initiatives as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education with at least 2 years of related payroll and benefits administration experience preferred.
- Completion of, or enrollment in, the Canadian Payroll Management Certificate Program is considered an asset.
- Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems, including ADP.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support employees and respond effectively to inquiries.
