About the Opportunity
We’re hiring for a Receptionist role with a community-based organization that provides specialized programs and services for children, youth and families. In this front-desk position, you’ll be a welcoming first point of contact for families, community professionals and partners accessing important services and support.
Reporting to the Administrative Manager, you’ll work closely with an established administrative team to help keep the office running smoothly. You’ll manage reception duties while supporting client file maintenance and day-to-day administrative tasks, ensuring callers and visitors receive a professional, helpful experience and are connected with the appropriate resources.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll welcome clients, families, social workers and other visitors in a professional and compassionate manner.
• You’ll answer incoming calls on a multi-line phone system and redirect inquiries to the appropriate team member or service.
• You’ll coordinate meeting room setup and support day-to-day front-desk activities.
• You’ll monitor and maintain client files through scanning, copying, filing and data entry.
• You’ll prepare materials and provide general administrative support to the program and administrative team.
Skills and Qualifications
• 1+ year of recent experience in reception, administration or a similar client-facing role.
• Previous experience in healthcare, social services, community services or a related environment.
• High school diploma.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, along with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent organization, time management and self-planning skills.
• Comfort working with confidential client information and interacting with individuals who may be accessing sensitive services.
