About the Opportunity
We’re hiring a polished, service-oriented Receptionist to join a prestigious private school in Toronto. As one of the first people students, families, staff and visitors interact with, you’ll help create a welcoming, professional environment while supporting the smooth flow of a busy school day.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative reception team, with multiple team members providing coverage throughout the day. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with people, stays composed in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of safety, discretion and exceptional service in a school community.

What’s In It for You
Join a welcoming, people-focused school environment where collaboration and community are at the heart of the day-to-day experience. You’ll gain valuable exposure within the education sector, work closely with students, families and staff, and build your administrative and customer service experience in a professional setting.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll warmly greet students, families, staff and visitors, understanding their needs and directing them appropriately.
• You’ll answer, screen and direct incoming calls, including responding professionally to parent and visitor inquiries.
• You’ll maintain visitor logs and sign-in and sign-out records while following established school safety procedures.
• You’ll coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and deliveries, including organizing staff mailboxes.
• You’ll help maintain a tidy, organized and welcoming reception and foyer area.
• You’ll work closely with fellow reception team members to provide seamless desk coverage throughout the day.
• You’ll respond to changing priorities and provide general administrative support as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
• 0–2 years of reception, administrative, school, childcare or customer service experience.
• Postsecondary education in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in an education environment or working with children is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished, professional and service-oriented approach.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
• Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential student and family information.
• Comfort working in a technology-rich environment, with Google Workspace proficiency considered an asset.
