About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to support a public sector organization in creating engaging, accessible and learner-focused education experiences. Working remotely, you’ll collaborate closely with education leaders, subject matter experts and other instructional design professionals to turn learning and performance needs into practical solutions.

This is a hands-on opportunity where you’ll contribute throughout the full education development lifecycle, from discovery and design through development, testing and launch. You’ll bring an adult-learning lens and user-centered approach to a variety of digital and facilitated learning products.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll transform learning and performance needs into engaging education solutions using adult learning principles and iterative, user-centered design.
• You’ll design and develop courses, workshops, web conferences, self-studies, job aids, multimedia, eLearning and related learning assets.
• You’ll support projects from discovery and consultation through storyboarding, development, review, testing, revision and finalization.
• You’ll review instructional design work for alignment with learning objectives, accessibility standards and quality expectations.
• You’ll coordinate project activities, timelines, documentation and review cycles while collaborating with subject matter experts and education partners.
• You’ll develop or update English and French deliverables using approved storyboards and source materials.
• You’ll support education product promotion by drafting email, LinkedIn and internal promotional content.

Skills and Qualifications
• 3+ years of instructional design and education development experience.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, user-centered design and instructional design best practices.
• Demonstrated experience developing learning objectives, instructional design plans, storyboards, scripts, eLearning and multimedia learning assets.
• Experience designing a range of learning formats, including facilitated and self-directed education.
• Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage timelines, documentation and multiple review cycles.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience partnering with subject matter experts and reviewing the work of other designers.
• Knowledge of accessibility requirements and quality standards for digital learning experiences.
