Job Description

Location: Richmond, BC, On-site, 5 days per week

About the Opportunity
If you’re someone who enjoys detail-oriented work but also likes connecting with people, this 4-month contract offers a great mix of both. You’ll join the standards and assessment function of a public sector organization, supporting the secure administration, invigilation and processing of trade examinations.

This position is fully on-site due to the hands-on and confidential nature of the work. You’ll be part of a collaborative team where there is always support nearby, helping test takers feel comfortable and prepared while ensuring exam security, accuracy and established procedures are maintained.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll welcome test takers, explain exam procedures and codes of conduct, and oversee up to three accommodated exams per day.
• You’ll monitor examinations, maintain exam security and document or escalate potential issues.
• You’ll mark Scantron-based exams, upload results and accurately record information in a large Excel tracking log.
• You’ll schedule and book examinations, ensuring the correct exam, course and level information is recorded.
• You’ll receive and process courier packages, carefully reconciling incoming and outgoing confidential exam materials.
• You’ll balance focused administrative work with face-to-face support for test takers, including those requiring additional time or translation support.

Skills and Qualifications
• Previous administrative, customer service or related experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organization, with the ability to remain accurate during repetitive and process-driven tasks.
• Comfortable using Excel to enter, review and look up information within large spreadsheets.
• Confident communicating face-to-face and respectfully reinforcing rules, procedures and expectations.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving skills and discretion when handling confidential materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow detailed policies and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, with business administration education, data entry, scheduling or invigilation experience considered an asset.
