Join a forward-thinking financial services regulatory organization as a Senior Power BI Developer, where you’ll help build enterprise reporting solutions that support informed decision-making and strengthen data-driven operations. This contract offers the opportunity to work across both cloud and on-premises BI environments while contributing to a collaborative, agile culture.

You’ll partner directly with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn complex requirements into scalable, high-performing dashboards, reports and data models. Your work will have meaningful visibility across the organization, with a strong focus on data quality, governance and reliable reporting.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server
• You’ll integrate SQL Server, Excel, APIs, flat files and cloud sources into reliable, reusable data models
• You’ll write and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures and views, while developing ETL pipelines using SSIS
• You’ll build SSAS tabular or multidimensional models and create efficient star or snowflake schemas with DAX measures
• You’ll troubleshoot report, model and refresh performance while maintaining data accuracy, consistency and governance
• You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide status updates and translate business needs into technical solutions

Skills and Qualifications
• 5–8 years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL expertise, including query optimization, stored procedures and views
• Solid experience with SSIS, SSAS, DAX, data modelling and performance tuning
• Experience building reporting solutions using multiple data sources and managing complex enterprise data requirements
• Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to manage parallel workstreams and stakeholder discussions
• Experience with Power BI administration, role-based access, Power BI Gateway, Direct Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Microsoft Power BI or Azure Data certifications are an asset
