About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior UX Researcher to help shape intuitive, evidence-based digital products and services within a Canadian health information organization. Reporting to the Team Lead, User Research & Strategy, you’ll lead research and testing that turns user needs, behaviours, and feedback into meaningful product improvements.

You’ll work closely with internal product, design, and digital teams, bringing the voice of the user into decision-making. Along with delivering hands-on research, you’ll help strengthen UX research practices, standards, and measurement approaches across the organization.

What’s In It for You
You’ll join a collaborative team where research has a direct impact on digital experiences. This six-month contract offers exposure to a broad range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, opportunities to influence UX practices, and the chance to contribute to products and services with meaningful public impact.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll plan and execute UX discovery, including user research, workshops, solution evaluations, personas, journey maps, empathy maps, and heuristic reviews.
• You’ll develop research plans, define objectives, and select appropriate qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• You’ll conduct interviews, surveys, contextual inquiries, usability testing, card sorting, tree testing, first-click testing, and benchmarking studies.
• You’ll analyze research data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for product and design teams.
• You’ll create compelling research deliverables, including screeners, moderator guides, reports, presentations, and UX scorecards.
• You’ll help mature UX research practices by developing standards, guidelines, templates, frameworks, and testing strategies.
• You’ll advocate for user research and communicate insights effectively with project stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications
• 8+ years of senior-level UX research experience, with demonstrated success leading end-to-end research and testing initiatives.
• Strong experience with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods, usability testing, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to create personas, journey maps, empathy maps, research plans, and actionable research reports.
• Experience facilitating workshops and communicating research findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect user insights to product and design decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, including presentation and research documentation capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively within an established team, standards, processes, and a 36.25-hour work week.
