Job Description

Technical Analyst / Developer, Supply Chain Systems

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Hybrid, 2 days onsite

6 months to hire/contract extension

Job Summary

McKesson is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Analyst / Developer to support and enhance our Supply Chain Demand and Fulfillment technology platforms. This role is responsible for the development, integration, and continuous improvement of critical Supply Chain applications, with a strong focus on Blue Yonder SaaS solutions and related enterprise systems.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of supply chain planning and execution processes, including demand forecasting, replenishment, fulfillment, supply planning, promotions, and supplier order quantity optimization (SOQ). Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, vendors, and technology teams, this individual will analyze requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, develop technical solutions, and ensure the stability and performance of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Operations

  • Mentor and assist in technical support of the Blue Yonder SaaS solutions and integrated enterprise platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve application, integration, and performance-related issues across production and non-production environments when needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor system health, application performance, batch processing, and interfaces.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL practices.
  • Participate in on-call support and major incident resolution activities as required.

Development & Technical Solutions

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain automation, interfaces, and custom solutions supporting Supply Chain business processes.
  • Develop and support Linux shell scripts (KornShell/KSH) and integrations.
  • Analyze and optimize JVM configurations, application performance, and runtime environments.
  • Develop and support Oracle scripts (PL/SQL) and integrations, and create and maintain SQL queries within the Oracle database where needed.
  • Support application integrations between supply chain systems, ERP platforms, and external partners.
  • Participate in solution design reviews and technical architecture discussions.

Scheduling & Automation

  • Manage and support enterprise job scheduling and workload automation using Control-M.
  • Monitor scheduled jobs and batch processes to ensure successful execution and operational stability.
  • Implement process automation opportunities to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

Business Analysis & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Replenishment, Fulfillment, and Procurement teams to understand business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional solutions and technical specifications.
  • Participate in project initiatives, enhancements, upgrades, and system implementations.
  • Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, automation, supportability, and user experience.
  • Recommend best practices related to application architecture, operational support, and supply chain planning processes.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and future-state solution design.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting and developing enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years of experience working in Linux environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining shell scripts.
  • Experience with Java applications, JVM administration, and performance analysis.
  • Strong Oracle Database and SQL development skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise scheduling tools such as Control-M.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application and integration issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Blue Yonder SaaS solutions, including Demand Planning, Fulfillment, Supply Planning, or related supply chain modules.
  • Experience with retail, wholesale, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or distribution supply chain operations.
  • Understanding of cloud-based SaaS application architecture and integrations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise integrations of middleware or reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
