About the Opportunity
Join a Portfolio Governance & Analytics team within a large public sector environment as a ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Developer. You’ll help enhance end-to-end strategic initiative and project management processes, improving governance, compliance, data quality and workflow efficiency.

Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you’ll translate business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions. Your initial focus will include project gating and governance, with opportunities to contribute across additional SPM modules and capabilities.

You’ll collaborate with experienced technical and business partners while expanding your expertise across a broad range of SPM functionality.

Your Responsibilities
• You’ll analyze existing business case intake, project gating and governance processes to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Design and develop ServiceNow workflows, forms and automation using Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs and Notifications.
• You’ll configure and develop SPM capabilities, including project finance, resource, procurement, portfolio planning, strategic planning and benefit realization.
• Create dashboards, reports and project datasets that improve visibility and support data-driven decisions.
• Manage certificate inventory and related ServiceNow flows while embedding compliance controls and audit tracking.
• Develop JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideRecord queries and Script Includes following ServiceNow best practices.
• Support testing, technical documentation, deployment planning and post-deployment activities.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of ServiceNow SPM management and development experience, with a strong understanding of the project management lifecycle and SPM integrations.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications are mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, GlideRecord, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Scheduled Jobs and Notifications.
• Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow workflows, forms, reporting, dashboards, analytics and certificate inventory management.
• Experience across SPM modules such as Cost Management, Resource Management, Strategic Planning, Investment Funding, Portfolio Planning, Digital Portfolio Management, Performance Analytics Advanced and related capabilities.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, Strategic Portfolio Management is considered an asset, along with strong analytical, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
