About the Opportunity
Are you an HR professional ready to take the next step into a Generalist role? Supporting approximately 100 employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, you’ll become a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers. You’ll balance day-to-day HR administration with meaningful involvement in projects related to health and safety, employee programs, policies, workforce planning and process improvements.
What’s In It for You
You’ll join a flexible, collaborative environment where you can broaden your HR experience and contribute ideas while learning directly from an experienced HR leader. Along with a hybrid schedule and a culture that values work-life balance, you’ll receive company-paid health and dental benefits, a group RRSP with 3% employer matching, paid vacation, sick and personal days, free parking and company-provided equipment.
Your Responsibilities
• You’ll act as a first point of contact for employees, responding to day-to-day HR questions and providing timely support.
• You’ll coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, HRIS updates and other employee lifecycle activities.
• You’ll support health and safety administration, working with operational leaders to coordinate requirements and help reduce workplace injuries.
• You’ll maintain accurate and confidential employee information while supporting benefits, leaves and employment-related changes.
• You’ll contribute to HR projects involving policies, processes, employee programs and workforce initiatives.
• You’ll support employees and managers across multiple Canadian provinces, including Quebec.
Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of hands-on Human Resources experience, ideally as an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Representative or junior HR Generalist.
• Professional fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.
• Practical HR experience supporting employees in Quebec and familiarity with Quebec employment requirements.
• Previous health and safety administration or coordination experience.
• Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, warehouse, field service or similar industrial environment.
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources and strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR practices.
• Strong organization, communication and judgment, with the ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
Note from the Hiring Manager
“We’re looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on with the day-to-day details of HR but also wants the opportunity to learn, contribute ideas and get involved in different projects. You’ll work closely with me, support employees across the business and gain exposure to many areas of HR.”
