About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected organization in the commercial insurance sector, is seeking Field Sales Specialists to join their growing team across several Ontario territories. This is an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven opportunity for someone who enjoys developing new business, getting out into the community, and building a long-term portfolio of commercial clients.

You’ll spend much of your time in the field meeting business owners, understanding their operations, and recommending insurance solutions that support and protect their businesses. You’ll have the independence to manage your territory while benefiting from the training, mentorship, and resources of an established insurance organization.

What’s In It for You

This is an opportunity to build your own book of business in a supportive environment that rewards initiative and performance. You’ll receive a competitive base salary of $50,000–$60,000 plus commission, with strong long-term earning potential as your portfolio grows.

You’ll also receive comprehensive health benefits from day one, pension and employee share purchase programs, insurance discounts, and ongoing education support. Licensing and professional development opportunities are available to help you continue building your insurance career.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll prospect for new commercial clients through cold outreach, networking, referrals, community involvement, and in-person visits.
• You’ll meet face-to-face with business owners to understand their operations and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• You’ll build and grow your own book of business while developing long-term client relationships.
• You’ll manage your territory independently, maintaining a consistent boots-on-the-ground presence.
• You’ll manage pipeline activity through CRM tools and maintain strong prospecting and sales activity.
• You’ll participate in ongoing sales training, team meetings, and professional development.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales or client-facing experience, ideally within insurance, group benefits, financial services, or B2B sales.
• Previous insurance experience is strongly preferred, including insurance sales, support, service, or account management.
• OTL or RIBO licensing is a strong asset, with support available for candidates who need to obtain licensing.
• Competitive and results-driven with a genuine hunter mentality and comfort developing business from the ground up.
• Outgoing, personable, and confident building relationships face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers.
• Independent, resilient, and a quick learner who thrives with autonomy and ownership over a territory.
• Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and comfort travelling regularly throughout an assigned territory.

Note from the Hiring Manager

“We’re looking for someone who is competitive, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys getting out there and creating opportunities. If you’re someone who likes taking ownership of your territory, meeting new people, and seeing your effort directly impact your earnings and career growth, you’ll do well here.”
