Working alongside product owners, developers, designers, business teams, and stakeholders, you’ll contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from Discovery and Alpha through Beta and Live. Your Responsibilities
• You’ll design mobile-first, responsive UX solutions using established best practices and user-centred design principles.
• You’ll create and iterate designs in Figma, incorporating feedback efficiently throughout the product lifecycle.
• You’ll facilitate user research and usability testing, including interview planning, scripts, synthesis, and findings reports.
• You’ll collaborate within an Agile Scrum team to move products through Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live stages.
• You’ll lead meetings and clearly present design processes, recommendations, and solutions to stakeholders.
• You’ll support relationship management, navigating change and maintaining alignment across business and technical teams.

Skills and Qualifications
• 3-5 years of relevant UX experience contributing to complex digital products of varying sizes, ideally within the Ontario Public Service or another public sector environment.
• Extensive knowledge of UX best practices, mobile-first and responsive design, user research, usability testing, service design frameworks, and established design systems.
• Strong Figma experience, plus expertise with tools such as JustInMind, InVision, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Zeplin.
• Experience working with Agile Scrum methodologies and Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live delivery stages.
• Degree or diploma in graphic design. Usability, human-computer interaction, or technical writing education or certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of accessibility compliance testing is an asset, as are HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, and Azure DevOps skills.
